Tara.Logic: The connection of body and spirit.

Iserlohn, July 2006
With Tara.Logic Dornbracht presents a new and progressive fittings series. Tara.Logic, which follows on in the design language of the Tara Classic single lever mixer, reveals a conscious elongation and alignment in its design. By deliberately allocating a rosette, Tara.Logic looks even more slender and more towering. This results in a new minimalist verticality that can be transferred to the architecture and design of the bathroom. Whereas spirituality, or sensuality, was at the forefront of the design for MEM and LULU, in Tara.Logic it is health and fitness.

Thus impressions from the fitness and high-tech worlds are evident in all the premium applications of Tara.Logic, providing the ideas for its various designs. For instance, an elegant leather punch bag suspended between the ceiling and the floor and a flat screen TV that seems to float weightlessly in front of the wall can be used to create the Tara.Logic atmosphere even in a modern, pared-down country-house style. Graphic, two-dimensional design elements such as elongated real wood panels or large glazed and mirrored surfaces enhance the character of this verticality and elongation. The room is organised into sections by a variety of architectural solutions such as a room divider which also houses the wash stand, or back-lit walls.

The architecture of the Tara.Logic Ritual Bathroom, first presented at the SHK Essen, also echoes the design language of the fitting: the dividing elements consist of tall panels in different materials that are positioned to separate the individual zones from each other. At the same time, the architecture transmits Tara.Logic’s verticality in physical activity. The bathroom as an active spa, as a private gym. The body as an instrument that is strengthened intelligently. The connection of body and spirit, of intelligence and elegance. Tara.Logic represents a new and healthy self-awareness. For fitness that balances physical and spiritual targets. The six zones in the Tara.Logic Ritual Bathroom are based on the stations in a fitness studio that are absolved in a specific sequence – but can also be used individually: Preparation, Face Wash, Body Cleansing, Shower, Contrast Bath and Private Gym.

Mike Meiré designed the architecture of the Tara.Logic Premium Bathrooms and the Tara.Logic Ritual Bathroom. Tara.Logic was designed by Sieger Design. The fitting is available as a single-lever mixer series with finishes in chrome and matt platinum.
