Mit der Supernova zeigt Dornbracht auf der diesjährigen ISH vom 10. bis 14. März 2009 in Frankfurt/Main eine neue, lifestyle-orientierte Serie. Supernova ist eine Armatur von hoher skulpturaler Qualität. Mit ihren zahlreichen Facetten und polygonalen Flächen erinnert sie an einen präzise gearbeiteten Kristall – und wie ein solcher beeindruckt Supernova ihre Umgebung mit immer neuen Reflexionen von Objekten und Farben.

Passend zum skulpturalen Charakter der Armatur ist die Architektur des Supernova Leadbades kein klassischer Raum. Stattdessen wird sie ohne Raumdefinition zu einem Lifestyle-Möbel, das sich frei im Raum platzieren lässt.

„Bei Supernova haben wir die skulpturale Qualität der Armatur als Ausgangspunkt der Leadbad-Architektur aufgegriffen. Die Konsequenz ist eine Insel im Raum, die alle Funktionen und Zonen des Bades in der Mitte verortet. Eine Architektur, die somit selbst zum Solitär wird“, so Mike Meiré, verantwortlich für die Leadbad-Architektur und Brand Director Dornbracht.

Betrachtet man die exponierte Gestaltung genauer, zeigt sich, dass die hochglänzenden Flächen und präzisen Schrägen der Armaturen die einzelnen, lagunenhaft wirkenden Wasserzonen des Solitärs immer wieder reflektieren. Es hat den Anschein, als spiegele die Armatur die Idee der Architektur ebenso wider wie die Architektur die Idee der Armatur.

At this year’s ISH from 10 to 14 March 2009 in Frankfurt/Main Dornbracht is showing a new lifestyle-oriented series in the form of Supernova. Supernova is a fixture of high sculptural quality. With its many facets and polygonal surfaces is reminiscent of precision-worked crystal – and as such Supernova impresses its surroundings with ever new reflections of objects and colours.

In keeping with the sculptural character of the fixture, the architecture of the Supernova lead-bathroom is not a classical space. Instead it becomes lifestyle furniture, which can be freely placed in the room, without definition of space.

“With Supernova we have taken the sculptural quality of the fixture as a starting point for the lead-bathroom architecture. The consequence is an island in the room which locates all functions and zones of the bathroom in the centre. An architecture that also becomes a solitaire”, according to Mike Meiré, who is responsible for the lead-bathroom architecture and the Dornbracht’s brand director.

If you regard the exposed design more precisely, it is demonstrated that the gleaming surfaces and precise inclines of the fixtures repeatedly reflect the indiviiudal, lagoon-like water zones of the solitaire. It seems that the fixture reflect the idea of the architecture in the same way as the architecture reflects the idea of the fixture.
